"Cartilidge of the Dead"

Alias: None

Type: Mystical

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: Indescribable.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: At this point, you're probably more than a bit burnt out from the sheer number of shark films coming at you. Well, sad to say, yet another was made on a micro budget. But then again, this is a film that took what little it had...and USED it.

History: After being brutallized and killed by redneck fishers, a great white ended up in a cursed cave that resurrected its spirit. After killing its murderers, the shark turned its sights on more populated areas. Now unbound by the sea, the shark set out to devour anyone close to water. Any water.

Notable Kills: Bites someone while they're speeding on a jet ski, eats a plumber through a pipe, the world's deadliest slip-n-slide, a carwash gone wrong, a glass of water resulting in a person half-full, and a bathroom visit from Hell.

Final Fate: After pursuing a few people for some time, the shark is finally brought down when someone punctures it with a sacred arrow from the cave, banishing it from our world. However, a second ghost shark soon appears in a storm...

Powers/Abilities: Can appear in any body of water, no matter how small or temporary it might be. It is also virtually indestructible.

Weakness: A special blessed arrow that can actually hurt it. It is appropriately only found near the cave that gave it life.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-Some VERY crap effects are in full-force here, with a non-convincing ghost and a really bad yet gnarly-looking shark prop as the beast. But that's sort of a small blemish on possibly the scariest shark concept ever. Just imagine yourself drinking water, only for a giant ocean predator to pop out of it and rip you to pieces. Aquaphobes beware!

Trivia: -This film did receive a sequel in 2015, called "Ghost Shark: Urban Jaws", but is has no relation to its predecessor.

-The shark prop was made by Shark City Ozark, an organization specializing in making replicas of Bruce the shark, as well as a couple other practical effects for films like "Ragin' Cajun Redneck Gators" and "Bering Sea Beast".
